Basic Historical Overview ($500)
Includes a general description of the club’s beginnings, the genesis of the golf course and its architecture, its design evolution and, as applicable, whatever tournaments, celebrities, club professionals, non-golf events and additional miscellany have come to define the facility’s history.
Basic Historical Overviews generally run from 600-1000 words, and are ideal for smaller websites wishing to provide a functional yet detailed background for their golf-oriented web pages.
Expanded Historical Overview ($750)
Offers more detailed versions of all material covered in the Basic Overview, plus several additional features.
Includes more thorough descriptions of whatever aspects of the club’s storyline are most compelling, generally in areas of site and architect selection, design and construction, important founders/early members and, of course, significant events held. Where available, comments made by course designers and/or journalists of the period will be included, all designed to give your website the sort of rich, historical ambiance that is so coveted in our tradition-laden game.
As a bonus, MT III Golf Media offers free caption writing for any photographs that will accompany Expanded Overview text.
Expanded Overviews generally run from 1000-1400 words, and provide the perfect background for websites offering a more detailed presentation or, alternately, a site that does not include any sort of introductory/overview material tailored specifically to the golf course.
Deluxe Historical Overview ($1000 and up)
The Deluxe Historical Overview is tailored towards high-profile facilities with widely acclaimed courses and/or extensive tournament and Major championship histories. Written either as a grander version of the Basic and Expanded Overviews or in a highly literate essay-like style, it provides a vividly detailed history of the club and its facilities, and, where applicable, integrate the club’s story into the greater story of American golf. More detailed, contextualized material will be included on the great players, celebrities and/or professionals relevant to club history, and greater emphasis will be placed on the stories, traditions and important people that make each club unique. Deluxe overviews can also feature sidebars profiling the most prominent figures and events in club history and, for older courses, can reprint public domain clips from early American golf magazines (researched by Midnight Golf Media at no extra charge) to establish maximum ambiance. In short, Deluxe Overviews actually represent something of a condensed club history, stylishly recreating the club’s evolution in an attractive, exceptionally polished package.
As a bonus, MT III Golf Media offers free caption writing for any photographs that will accompany Deluxe Overview text, as well as the required searches of Golf Illustrated, The American Golfer, et al. where applicable.
Deluxe Overviews generally run from 1400-2000 words, and are ideal for detailed websites wishing to accompany high quality course mapping and/or hole-by-hole tours with top-shelf background material. Deluxe overviews are competitively priced, starting at $1200 and ranging upward based on length. On rare occasions when Midnight Golf Media must provide significant historical materials not generally available through the club or traditional research sources, a mutually agreed upon research fee may also be required.
Historical Timeline ($1000 and up)
Historical Timelines are an attractive alternative for presenting your club’s history, with a series of important events being detailed in 50-100 word capsules, each generally accompanied by a picture. Depending upon how they are arranged, Timelines generally feature an interactive quality that strongly engages the reader’s attention while also, through the advancing style and quality of the accompanying imagery, providing a great sense of the club's long-term evolution.
Timelines can be golf-exclusive or incorporate additional information which the club considers desirable, and can vary greatly in length depending upon the specifics of a particular facility’s background and current website goals. They are generally best suited to clubs with extensive histories (tournament and otherwise) and available archival imagery to supplement text. Highly recommended for nationally prominent facilities.
